In today’s crowded music marketplace, fans can get confused when trying to determine what sites and services are authorized and pay music creators. And when you search for an artist + song title on Google, you can’t be 100% sure the search results that pop up will direct you to legitimate sites. So how do we help fans – especially younger ones – know what services are authorized vs those that aren’t?
That’s why representatives from the RIAA, the trade org that represents the major music labels, are coming to Belmont to solicit student feedback on ways to better market and promote www.whymusicmatters.com – a site RIAA co-created to help serve as a go-to guide of authorized music services – to other students in the Tennessee school system. We need your help!
As entertainment and music business students, there’s no one better to help generate creative and thoughtful ideas on how we can get whymusicmatters.com to stand out in front of other students. And we’d love to hear any ideas you may have on what will help the site “pop” more. We’re all ears!
Please come for a short presentation on the site and to participate in a meaningful discussion. We look forward to meeting and hearing from you!
