Franklin- ARK 2 Productions, set design and event display to the entertainment
industry since 1985, is looking to recruit Belmont University Students.
ARK 2 also produces a state of the art cultural parade, a goodwill ambassador
from The Music City. The Light The World Parade appeared as part of the city
celebrations and Cultural Olympiad at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Because of the successful reception of the project, The Light The World Parade
was invited to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympic outreach and to
the World Cup Soccer Championships in South Africa 2010.
“We are looking for extremely dedicated and committed young people to build
our Beijing Edition of The Light The World Parade production.” says Ed James,
Director. ” We are in need of the best high school, college and young adults to
produce this first of its kind Goodwill Ambassador from Nashville.”
The Light The World Parade features banners, flags, drumlines, colorguard, drama,
inflatables, giant puppets, marionettes, cultural and dance costumes, special effects
and surround sound. The Parade needs dancers, gymnasts, runners, sprinters, athletes,
production and technical assistants. The cast of over 800 volunteers will converge on
Beijing in late July 2008 and remain in the country until the Closing Ceremonies on
August 16, 2008.
Interested candidates should have an excellent attitude,including caring for others,
diligent and servant heart, passionate about their area of interest in the parade and
a willingness to prepare for the opportunity. Parade Cast candidates should apply at
